GOD

“God is bigger than the future, because He is already in the future, waiting for the future to catch up"

Mark -

Good to have you back on the blog.

Thanks for the timely reminder of this truth. The future can be so unknown to us that it can be frightening (dare I say terrifying) & the danger is that we want to stay where we know. But it's good to know that God is already in the future waiting for us to step out in faith, reach for his hand & catch up.

Thank you Mark for coming back to the blog and posting something so encouraging and uplifting.

Misterj and I have been house-shopping over the past few weeks and had started so full of tenacity with our little checklists of wishes and requirements... To say that our enthusiasm has been dampened over time would be understating the position. It has been such a stressful business and one which I have felt has taken an emotional toll. I'm very comforted that the future is already sorted despite the almost constant quenching of our intentionality in certain directions.

Reminds me of a cheesy rap worship song I learned in Tennessee (but which has has great lyrics -straight out of James):
"Trials and tribulations they are breeding purity and patience, tried inside the fire but we're coming out gold, the future is still untold, yeah."
